Several kilometers before the park entrance, Hacienda Guachipelín has grown from a working cattle ranch to a comfortable lodge. The gracious reception area was built inside an old barn with many authentic touches. The charming, airy new rooms have alcoves with lovely decorative tile work and candles at each entryway, and there are cool, breezy sitting areas between each building, set around well-manicured gardens. The huge, well-designed bar and restaurant serves good native food. Recommended.
