Flight of the toucan is combines thrills with education.

The usual zip-lines are complimented by platforms, guided tree climbs, and an electric winch driven cable elevator for exploration and investigation of the canopy environment at a more relaxed and educational pace.

FROM THE NEW KEY OF COSTA RICA:

The canopy tour has eight cables with spans that range from 20 meters (65 feet) to 91 meters (296 feet), where you reach velocities of up to 35 kph (22 mph) between the 15 different takeoff and landing platforms, some on the ground and some in trees. The tour is set up to show how the primary forest forms layers of canopy so you can find out first-hand what the word biodiversity means. You will learn and observe more about nature on the Flight of the Toucan than on most other canopy tours. If you don’t want to zip, you can ascend over 105 feet to a platform suspended in the canopy of a magnificent tree and just observe. Another tour involves camping in a tent on a platform in a jungle clearing. This gives you a good opportunity to look for nocturnal mammals. There is also a beautiful trail through the jungle to the beach.
