The Organization for Tropical Studies has a research station one kilometer before the park administration. Each room has a bunk bed and a reading lamp (though lamps attract insects at night). Food is plentiful and good. Arrangements must be made as far in advance as possible through OTS in San José (including food, orientation, and guided walk; children 5-12, $34; half-day visits $16.)

OTS can arrange transportation by taxi from Bagaces to their station.
