Zarcero Park-Topiary GardenSan Ramon, Costa Rica Text©Beatrice Blake-New Key to Costa Rica The fancifully sculpted topiary garden in front of its picturesque little church: bushes shaped into gigantic green rabbits, a bullfight, a couple dancing, a monkey riding a bicycle, ox carts, and elephants. The topiary garden has been lovingly pruned by Don Evangelista Blanco, who says that God has been telling him what to sculpt for the last 40 years. You can buy postcards at the park that help fund this unique effort.  |
